Join this local organization and come learn with fellow teachers and administrators in Lake County.
Thursday, October 20: "Unconference"
Join us as we kick off the new school year with our first “Unconference” professional learning event. Participants will spend the morning with educators from across Lake County discussing the most important issues facing them this school year and collaborating and brainstorming on how best to plan, implement, and monitor strategies designed to address these issues. The LCCRC Unconference will be similar in format to an edcamp, with the sessions for the morning to be determined by participants at the outset of the day. Edcamps and other “unconference” professional learning events are organic, participant-driven professional learning experiences created by educators, for educators. For many, they have become the leading edge of professional development in education. After starting the morning by establishing the session offerings, participants will then have the opportunity to engage in conversations with colleagues focused on three different topics throughout the morning.
